#ProjectPoetry 5

You don’t know what #ProjectPoetry is? Surely this isn’t the first time you’re reading one of my poems. If it is, then go read the last 4 poems posted under the heading #ProjectPoetry and you’ll have all the explanation you need.

This weeks poem has the theme of animals as chosen by Flat White Concepts

Previous poem by CupcakeMummy here.

Pet

Looking past this place
Through the ever mist
Half closed eyes
Jungle, rich and verdant
Breathes a slow echoing rhythm
Only wild things understand

The sun feels the same
Fur gleams warm,
Perched on man laid stone
Or swaying bower

Homage to lithe predator
Lays dormant in sinuous curves
From scythe and claw
From impatient tail
From liquid golden gaze
